Color Lab is a Spot Color Optimization Software. It allows to get the separation of any Lab color through an existing ICC profile, optimize it in manual and automatic ways.

Color Lab can work with all ICC profiles (v2 & v4) in all Color Modes (RGB, CMYK & MC) in all Rendering Intents. Multi-Channel profiles are supported from 3 to 8 channels. The ICC profiles can be loaded from default or custom locations.

Color Lab can work with Color Swatches. Swatches can be loaded from default or custom locations. Swatches can be imported (CGATS), created and deleted. The list of default Swatches grows on each release and includes: ANPA, AVERY, DIC, HEXIS, HKS, ORACAL, RAL, TOYO and more.

Color Lab is a 64-bit application with PC & Mac versions.

Color Lab can be used for getting the dE between two Lab values. Lab values could come from Swatches, Measurements (X-Rite i1 Pro v2) or Manual input. Several dE formulas can be selected:

  • δE-94 (CIE 1994) Graphics
  • δE-94 (CIE 1994) Textile
  • δE-2000 (CIE 2000) (1:1:1) Graphics
  • δE-2000 (CIE 2000) (1,3:1:1) Plastics
  • δE-2000 (CIE 2000) (2:1:1) Textile
  • δE-CMC (1:1) GGAA
  • δE-CMC (1,3:1) Plastics
  • δE-CMC (2:1) Textile
  • δE-ab (CIE 1976)

ColorCurve allows to modify the input and output curves of whatever ICC using PhotoShop curves (*.acv). It’s really easy to use and with great utility. It works under Mac & PC and it can edit output ICC v2 & v4 created from whatever application RIP or profiling software (up to 8 channels).

Features:

  • Embeding linearization into ICC (created for example from Curve4 or Magic Match). For example for adding G7 linearization or simulation curves.
  • Retouching manually the answer of the ICC for applying Ink Saving, removing color deviations, change contrast, and so on.
  • Renaming internally the ICC (saving it without selecting a curve).
  • Getting internal information of the ICC like actual curves, CLUT and curve resolutions, and more. This is very important for evaluating the quality of an ICC.

ColorCurve allows adding to an ICC all you can do with PhotoShop curves.

CGATS Tweak allows to modify and adjust whatever Lab or Spectral CGATS measurement. It’s really easy to use and with great utility. It works under Mac & PC and it can edit CGATS files from 3 up to 8 channels (RGB & CMYK included) coming from whatever measuring software.

Features:

  • Adjust of White and Black Points (ISO 13655, Relative Colorimetric, & ColorInLab)
  • X-Rite i1Pro v2 & v3 compatible.
  • Tweaking of "a" & "b" axis of Lab space (gray adjust).
  • 3D render of measurements with channels filter, primary, original vs corrected, zoom, point wise, camera position and so on (only MacOS version).
  • Arrange & Remove Channels.

CGATS Tweak allows compensate the shortcomings of the measurements from our instrument and compensate the undesirable effects of metamerism.

Magic Match allows you to compensate, quickly and easily, the print file, to take it to the desired color. It can therefore be reprinted with the color of the previous production or bring one line to the response of another line in an efficient and controlled way.

Magic Match does not require the creation and / or application of ICC profiles, so the original separation of the document is not lost at any time.

Magic Match creates PhotoShop (acv) curves that can be applied to the production file for compensating the dot gain of the line and take it to the dot gain of the previous production. You can also create curves in CGATS format, compatible in many RIPS of the market and curves in ColorGATE format.

Magic MatchFunctions:

  • Creation of linearisations ISO 20654: 2017 (CMYK and Multichannel).
  • Creation of linearizations G7 (CMYK and Multichannel).
  • Creation of Simulation Curves (CMYK and Multichannel).
  • Smoothing and independent Ink Limit channel to channel.
  • Update of previous RIP curves.
  • Calculation of Delta-E, Density and Distance curves.

Characteristics:

  • Mac and PC versions.
  • Import and Export of PhotoShop curves (acv) from 1 to 8 inks.
  • Import and Export of CGATS curves (txt) from 1 to 8 inks.
  • Generation of comparison tables in Excel (csv) from 1 to 8 inks.
  • Generation of Gradation Curves for ColorGATE Productionserver (cgcx) from 1 to 8 inks.
  • Control wedges for multiple spectrophotometers on the market (X-Rite, Barbieri, RSC, etc.).
  • Simple operation by Drag & Drop.

Measuring the patches can be made from any standard measuring software such as ColorPort, i1Profiler, MeasureTool, Gateway, Productionserver, ColorAnt, Curve4, etc. To facilitate the reading process, we have created the following measuring manuals:

Appling the curves created by Magic Match will depend on the software. As an example, we have created the following application manuals for ColorGATE Productionserver:

Atlas2 is a graphics arts tool allows you getting the printed color as the desired one in all the printing devices on any support.

Through conventional color management (ICC), a global approach (rendering intent) is always carried out from the input profile to the output profile. This global approach tries to obtain the best possible in the printing device jointly and globally, which means that in order to make all the colors well printed (a photograph, for example), it is possible that a particular color does not reproduces with all the fidelity of which the printing device is capable. This happens even in the absolute colorimetric rendering intent.

Using Atlas2, we will automatically generate variations on the color we want, whether it is a Pantone®, a calculated color by an ICC profile, a numeric color or a measured color from an Eye-One. These variations will create an PDF in CMYK, RGB or Lab depending on the selected color space. You can setup up all PDF options as; page size, margins, dimensions of the patches, space between them, size, position and color of the text, and more. This PDF will be sent to print. Looking to the printed result we will pick the optimal value that produces the desired color.

You can also work creating other types of print charts such as Color Atlas, variations from one color to another color, and more.

With Atlas2 we will always get the desired color in a simple, fast, fully automatic way and without the need for colorimeters or complex ICC. Of course, if we have colorimeters and ICC profiles, with Atlas2 we will obtain better colors even than we obtain using our CMS system.

Atlas2 allows you to find, in just one step, any color in any printer.

Atlas2 creates a PDF with color patches. You print the PDF and look at the printed result to select the color patch that meets your expectations. Each color patch is identified by its CMYK, RGB or Lab value.

Atlas2 is compatible with the X-Rite® i1 (EyeOne) spectrophotometer, so you can measure any color and get it on any printer support.

Atlas2 has all the Pantone® tables included with their spectral values, so they can be converted to Lab or any CMYK or RGB ICC Profile to find any Pantone® color on any printer.

The Pantone® Tables included in Atlas2 are the following:

  • PANTONE(R) f + h cotton TCX
